LABORATORY SUPPORT FOR AIDS VACCINE AND OTHER PREVENTION CLINICALTRIALS PROJECT NIH GUIDE, Volume 26, Number 25, August 1, 1997 RFP AVAILABLE: NIH-NIAID-DAIDS-98-07 P.T. 34 Keywords: AIDS Vaccine Clinical Trial National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases The Division of AIDS (DAIDS), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), NIH, has a requirement to provide for the centralized performance of standardized virological assays to detect and diagnose HIV infection and immunological assays to evaluate candidate AIDS vaccine-induced HIV-specific humoral immune responses, in support of Phase I to III clinical trials of candidate AIDS vaccines and other prevention interventions. The purpose of this contract is to support the NIAID in its mission to stimulate research towards discovery and testing of prototype vaccines and prevention interventions for the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). This is an announcement for an anticipated Request for Proposals (RFP). It is anticipated that one (1) completion type cost-reimbursement contract for a seven-year period of performance will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. RFP NIH-NIAID-DAIDS-98-07 will be available electronically on or about August 14, 1997, and may be accessed through either the NIAID Contract Management (CMB) Home Page or the NIH Gopher by using the following electronic mail addresses and instructions: 1) NIAID/CMB Home Page (via the World Wide Web): Access by using http://www.niaid.nih.gov/contract and select the "RFP" link. 2) To access the NIH Gopher: Point your Gopher client to GOPHER.NIH.GOV.PORT70 (you should now be in the NIH Gopher). Please note that the RFP for this procurement has been revised to include only the Statement of Work, Deliverable and Reporting Requirements, the Technical Evaluation Criteria, and proposal preparation instructions.
