ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Domestic public and private, for-profit and non-profit institutions and organizations, such as universities, colleges, hospitals, laboratories, units of state and local governments, and eligible agencies of the Federal government are eligible to respond to this RFA. Racial/ethnic minority individuals, women, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply as Principal Investigators. Foreign institutions are not eligible to apply. The principal investigator (PI) is required to have at least two R01 (or similar) grants as principal investigator. One of these grants must be currently active at the receipt date of this RFA, and the other grant must have been awarded within 10 years of the receipt date of this RFA. Including the two grants held by the PI, the members of the investigative team are required to have a total of at least three R01 (or similar) grants awarded within 10 years of the receipt date of this RFA.
