This notice is to inform the research community that the National

Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) will no longer participate in the

Investigator-Initiated Research Project Grant (IRPG), PA-96-001.  The

IRPG and special instructions for preparing an IRPG were published in

the NIH Guide, Volume 24, No. 35, October 6, 1995.



The following program announcements (PAs) are being withdrawn; NIDA

will no longer accept applications in response to these PAs. This

notice is effective immediately and applies to the February 1, 1996

application receipt deadline.
