DIRECT COSTS LIMITATION FOR NIDCD PROGRAM PROJECTS NIH GUIDE, Volume 24, Number 35, October 6, 1995 P.T. 34 Keywords: Communicative Disorders, Hearing Grants Administration/Policy+ National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) announces a new policy on the maximum amount of direct costs for applications for program projects (P01) and specialized research centers (P50). Effective for the application receipt date of June 1, 1996, applications for new and competing continuation (renewal) program projects and specialized research centers, to the NIDCD, may request up to $900,000 (direct costs) for the first year of requested support. Applications exceeding this limit will be returned to the applicant without further review. Future year requested levels of support must be calculated for inflationary increases only, using standard NIH guidelines.
