Effective October 1, 1995, the PHS Division of Grants and Contracts

Grants Policy Branch will be abolished as part of a major reduction

in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health.  The policy and

oversight responsibilities of the Grants Policy Branch will be

assumed by the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Grants

and Acquisition Management, OASMB/OS.

appropriate PHS awarding component.  As of October 1, awardees may
