NATIONAL TEMPORAL BONE, HEARING, AND BALANCE PATHOLOGY RESOURCEREGISTRY NIH GUIDE, Volume 21, Number 9, March 6, 1992 RFP AVAILABLE: NIH-DC-92-07 P.T. 34 Keywords: RESEARCH RESOURCES Registries+ Hearing National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, National Institutes of Health, has a requirement to establish the National Human Temporal Bone, Hearing and Balance Pathology Resource Registry that will serve as a National registry or clearinghouse, maintaining a catalog of currently active and inactive temporal bone collections. In addition, the Registry will encourage the pursuit of human temporal bone research by: disseminating pertinent information, developing and fostering temporal bone professional education activities, and encouraging investigator collaborations in the study of the human temporal bone and brain structures subserving the auditory and vestibular systems. The contractor selected for award must have expertise in the administration and/or conduct of otopathology research at the M.D. and/or Ph.D. level. A three-year, cost-reimbursement type contract is anticipated. The solicitation is scheduled for release on or about March 9, 1992 with proposals due April 23, 1992.
