Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to correct sections of PAR-13-131 "Understanding and Promoting Health Literacy (R03)" that are related to funding.

Part 2. Section II. Award Information

Award Budget
Currently reads:
Project period is limited to $50,000 per year with a maximum of two years and $100,000.  Budget needs to reflect actual needs of the proposed project.  

Modified to read:
The combined budget for direct costs for the two-year project period may not exceed $100,000. No more than $50,000 in direct costs may be requested in any single year. Budgets should reflect the actual needs of the proposed project.

Part 2. Section IV. Application and Submission Information

PHS 398 Research Plan
Currently reads:
Individuals are required to comply with the instructions for the Resource Sharing Plans (Data Sharing Plan, Sharing Model Organisms, and Genome Wide Association Studies (GWAS)) as provided in the SF424 (R&R) Application Guide.

Modified to read:
Individuals are required to comply with the instructions for the Resource Sharing Plans (Data Sharing Plan, Sharing Model Organisms, and Genome Wide Association Studies (GWAS)) as provided in the SF424 (R&R) Application Guide, with the following modifications:
Generally, Resource Sharing Plans (Data Sharing Plan, Sharing Model Organisms, and GWAS Sharing Plan) are expected, but they are not applicable for this FOA.

Part 2. Section V. Application Review Information

Resource Sharing Plans
Currently reads:
Reviewers will comment on whether the following Resource Sharing Plans, or the rationale for not sharing the following types of resources, are reasonable: 1) Data Sharing Plan; 2) Sharing Model Organisms; and 3) Genome Wide Association Studies (GWAS).
