Clarification: Requirement for the Inclusion of a Certification Letter for Eligible Individuals Applying Under PAR-12-050, PAR-12-051, and PAR-12-052

This Notice clarifies instructions under Section III. Eligibility Information in the following Funding Opportunity Announcement:

PAR-12-050: NCI Mentored Research Scientist Development Award to Promote Diversity (K01)

PAR-12-051: NCI Mentored Clinical Scientist Research Career Development Award to Promote Diversity (K08)

PAR-12-052: NCI Mentored Patient-Oriented Research Career Development Award to Promote Diversity (K23)

Under the section "Eligible Individuals" please note the following clarified instructions:

Information must be submitted by the applicant Institution in a letter certifying that the applicant belongs to one of the above groups. Name the PDF formatted letter EligibilityCertification.pdf and attach it in the Other Attachments section of the Research & Related Other Project Information form. Application processing may be delayed or the application may be returned if it does not comply with this requirement.

The above instructions replace the old information as shown below - Do Not Follow:

Information must be submitted by the applicant Institution in a letter certifying that the applicant belongs to one of the above groups. The letter should be inserted in the application immediately before the Checklist as a PDF file. Application processing may be delayed or the application may be returned if it does not comply with this requirement.
