Meetings to Introduce The Network for Excellence in Neuroscience Clinical Trials (NeuroNEXT)
Release Date: September 9, 2011
National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS)
The Network for Excellence in Neuroscience Clinical Trials (NeuroNEXT) is designed to increase the efficiency of clinical trials, to facilitate patient recruitment and retention, to increase the quality of neuroscience clinical trials, and to enable public-private partnerships. The network will include multiple Clinical Sites, one Clinical Coordinating Center (CCC), and one Data Coordinating Center (DCC). This clinical research network will provide a robust, standardized, and accessible infrastructure to facilitate rapid development and implementation of protocols in neurological disorders affecting adult and/or pediatric populations.
The selected infrastructure sites will be posted on the NeuroNEXT website by early October (www.ninds.nih.gov/NeuroNEXT).
Since one of the NeuroNEXT goals is to facilitate and promote public-private partnerships, NINDS will hold two targeted meetings to introduce the network to potential partners in industry and advocacy/patient groups.
Interested parties may participate in person, via teleconference and/or via weblink. Weblink access will be available to the first 20 requestors. Persons who are interested in weblink access should contact Dr. McNeil as indicated below.
