NINDS CHANGE IN K08 MCSDA PROGRAM

National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) 
announces a change in the K08 Mentored Clinical Scientist Development 
Award (MCSDA).  Beginning with the February 1, 2000 receipt date, 
applications to the NINDS for the K08 award may request 3-5 years of 
support.  Previously, applications were limited to requesting three 
years of support.  

Currently active three-year K08 awards will remain as three-year awards 
and will not be extended to five years.  K08 applications now in the 
review cycle that qualify for funding will be funded for three years.
