Effective November 30, 2005, the National Library of Medicine announces the suspension of PA-03-178, Informatics for Disaster Management Grants.

No new or amended applications will be accepted. FY 2006 funds are not available for this program. Applications already in process will be considered for funding in the next fiscal year.

NLM’s participation in the NIH R21 Exploratory/Developmental Grant, PA-03-107, will continue. Feasibility tests relating to the management of information in disasters would be within scope for that program, which is described at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/ep/GrantExDev.html.

Applicants interested in deploying information systems for managing health information during disasters are in scope for PAR-05-012, NLM Knowledge Management & Applied Informatics
