Purpose

This Notice is being provided as a correction to RFA HL-11-025 (http://grants1.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-HL-11-025.html), published in the NIH Guide on June 24, 2010.  The purpose of this Notice is to alert applicants responding to this FOA about an error in the Research Objectives section of this announcement.  The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) will support projects submitted to this FOA related to heart, lung and blood diseases.  Projects related to skin and musculoskeletal tissues are not considered responsive to this FOA.

Submissions related to skin and musculo-skeletal tissues should be submitted to the companion announcement, RFA-HL-11-026 (http://grants1.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-HL-11-026.html ), which solicits R21 applications.

All other aspects of the FOAs remain unchanged.
