The purpose of this Notice is to inform the research community that the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) will NOT accept grants that have as their focus diabetic cardiomyopathy in PAR-08-182 Collaborative Interdisciplinary Team Science in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases. This language was added when the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute initially joined this FOA. The NHLBI subsequently withdrew from the FOA October 17, 2008 (see NOT-HL-09-110) and studies in diabetic cardiomyopathy will no longer be funded under this FOA.
