Beginning with the September 25, 2008 receipt date, NIDDK will accept renewal applications for NIDDK Education Program Grants (R25).  Renewal applications must include, in addition to the items listed in PAR-06-554, a justification for another five years of support for the program.  Adequate justification would be an expansion, alteration, or new focus for the educational opportunity, not merely a continuation.   Only one renewal application will be funded for each program, thus giving programs a total of 10 years of support.
