The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases is
requesting an application from the current provider of administrative
infrastructure (BCBC Cooperative Agreement at Vanderbilt) for the Beta
Cell Biology Consortium (BCBC) to serve as the Beta Cell Biology
Consortium Coordinating Center (BCBCCC). The BCBC is actively engaged
in generating new data, tools, reagents and technology towards the goal
of developing new cellular therapies in diabetes. Thus, the continuity
of existing administrative infrastructure is essential for the success
of this ongoing cooperative agreement. The future research projects of

RFA-DK-04-017 and RFA-DK-04-018, requesting competing continuation
applications of U19 projects, as well as, new U19 and U01 applications.
The BCBCCC will continue to be the organization responsible for
managing and coordinating the BCBC website www.betacell.org, existing
and future BCBC reagent databases, BCBC steering committee meetings,
BCBC subcommittees, existing and future BCBC scientific cores, and
special programs such as the BCBC Pilot and Feasibility Program.
