The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) will not be reissuing RFA-DA-07-012 for the Genes, Environment, and Development Initiative in fiscal 2008 as originally announced in NOT-DA-07-023 (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-DA-07-023.html).  NIDA remains very interested in supporting research that investigates interactions among genetic, environmental, and developmental factors in the etiology of drug abuse.   Interested investigators are referred to the program announcement Genetic Epidemiology of Substance Use Disorders (R01), PA-07-413, https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-07-413.html, for further guidance.
