Information Requested

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) requests that investigators researching the genetics of drug addiction who plan to submit applications requesting resources of The Center for Inherited Disease Research (CIDR) to genotype their samples for SNP Genome Wide Association Scans, Whole Genome SNP Linkage Scans, Custom SNP genotyping (Stage 2 of Genome Wide Association Study, Fine Mapping projects, Positional or Functional Candidate Gene studies)  submit letters of intent by Sept 4, 2007 if they wish to submit applications to CIDR for the November 1, 2007, March 1, 2008, or July 1, 2008 deadlines.

Letters of intent are being requested by NIDA for purposes of fiscal planning for FY 2008 for those NIDA-associated investigators anticipating request to use CIDR resources in FY 2008.  The letter of intent will be used for NIDA’s fiscal planning and does not constitute a commitment of funds from NIDA for the requested use of CIDR resources nor does it provide permission to apply for CIDR genotyping.  NIDA as well as other participating NIH Institutes requires prior approval from the institute liaison before an investigator can submit an application to CIDR.  The NIDA Institute Liaison is Jonathan D. Pollock, Ph.D.
