NCI POLICY ON SMALL RESEARCH GRANTS (R03) Release Date: April 26, 2001 NOTICE: NOT-CA-01-012 National Cancer Institute The National Cancer Institute (NCI) advises potential grant applicants that acceptance by the NCI of small research grants (R03) will be considered only in response to an NCI announcement specifically inviting such applications. Unsolicited grant applications in areas not covered by the announcements proposing preliminary short-term research projects limited in time and amount of support will not be accepted by the NCI.
