With the advent of electronic submission of individual predoctoral fellowship (F31)  applications, applicants applying to NCCAM for a predoctoral fellowship (F31) will no longer use  PAR-07-384 Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards for Individual Predoctoral Fellowship Training in Complementary and Alternative Medicine (F31), but the F31 NIH parent announcement PA-09-208 Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards for Individual Predoctoral Fellows (F31) (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-09-208.html)

NCCAM utilizes the F31 grant mechanism to support outstanding predoctoral candidates who are engaged in a rigorous research and study to carry out the Nation's biomedical, behavioral and clinical research agendas in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Applicants for these fellowship awards are STRONGLY encouraged to contact a NCCAM Program Officer before they begin to prepare their application, as NCCAM will consider only those applications that are designed to support the training and development of scientists with interests relevant to the mission of NCCAM.
