NCCAM CO-SPONSORS WORKSHOP ON ENHANCING THE EVIDENCE BASE FOR TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE (TCM) PRACTICE Release Date: September 17, 2002 NOTICE: NOT-AT-02-002 National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) (http://nccam.nih.gov/) The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAMM), in conjunction with the University of Maryland, Baltimore and the Health and Welfare Bureau, Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, is co-sponsoring a workshop, "Enhancing the Evidence Base for Traditional Chinese Medicine Practice Methodology and Grantsmanship." This two-day workshop will address a diverse range of issues related to TCM, and will include presentations on NCCAM's Office of International Health Research, the NIH Scientific Review and Grants Management Processes, Intellectual Property Issues and Human Subject Protection, and scientific methodologies used for the study of TCM.
