This Notice is published to provide clarification about available funds and budget components described in the funding opportunity announcement RFA-AA-12-006 (Longitudinal Studies on the Impact if Adolescent Drinking on the Adolescent Brain (Phase II) (U01).

Available funds:

The consortium components should come in as individual U01s.  It is recognized that institutions have varying indirect cost rates, so as of now, the entire consortium will be supported at a total cost of $4.5 million per year (Direct Costs plus Indirect Costs). 

 R & R Budget Component of the FOA:

The language under this component is not relevant to this FOA.

Each consortium component should have an itemized budget for the first year, as well as budgets for the out years.  The out years could include an increase according to NIH recommended guidelines for recurring costs.
